In September 2017, Scandit exhibited at the enterprise partner table of Samsung at IFA Berlin. Scandit offered live interactive demos of our technology on the new Samsung Galaxy Note8 mobile device during IFA, an IT event for the consumer electronics industry held in Berlin, Germany.

Demonstrations performed on the Samsung Galaxy Note8 device included the Scandit Barcode Scanner SDK. This provides enterprises with the speed and performance necessary to replace dedicated barcode scanners and mobile computers with more flexible and cost-effective mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and wearables. The result is equivalent or improved scanning performance on a smart device at a fraction of the total cost of ownership (TCO) of traditional scanners.

New features of Scandit Barcode Scanner SDK include MatrixScan, which enables users to locate, track and decode multiple barcodes at once and adds visual feedback in the user interface to indicate which barcodes have already been scanned. Learn more about MatrixScan.

Scandit is also offering a new Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality for Barcode Scanner SDK. OCR enables text recognition for your mobile scanning apps.  This allows users to capture predefined data from sources such as forms, packages and labels, eliminating the need for manual input and reducing the potential impact of human error. Learn more about OCR.

Other Scandit solutions include Scandit Flow 2.1. The latest update to our platform for rapidly building and deploying data capture apps includes improvements such as an Annotation API that lets users draw on captured or existing image files, as well as a new voice recording capability.

Scandit is exhibiting at a number of conferences and events around the globe during fall 2017. Click here for more information.
