Revolutionizing Enterprise Barcode Scanning and Data Capture
Since 2009, Scandit has been bringing its enterprise-grade mobile scanning technology to global businesses touching every part of the supply chain, including retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and more. Building on its patented barcode scanning technology, Scandit is redefining enterprise mobility and data capture for enterprises through customizable mobile apps, development tools and cloud services designed to drive efficiency and growth for its clients.
“It used to be that working with barcodes meant buying clunky, handheld laser based scanners. These dedicated devices, like any other, require maintenance, will suffer downtime, and are expensive. Scandit’s value proposition is to do away with that. Scandit offers scanning software that helps companies replace bulky scanners by turning ordinary smartphones into enterprise grade scanners. It also provides set of mobile apps, such a mobile clienteling, that helps a company get started if it doesn’t have an app,” said Maribel Lopez, Principal & Founder of Lopez Research.
Scandit delivers high performance mobile solutions for smartphones, tablets and wearables, designed to transform consumer engagement and operational efficiency for today’s forward-looking enterprises. Scandit solutions are built on its patented software-based barcode scanner and are used in a variety of industries including retail, manufacturing and logistics. With nearly 20,000 licensees in more than 100 countries, Scandit processes more than 200 million scans per year and develops enterprise-grade solutions for many of the world’s most prestigious brands including Ahold, Coop, Homeplus (Tesco), NASA, Saks Fifth Avenue and Verizon. Founded in 2009 by a group of researchers from MIT, ETH Zurich and IBM Research, today Scandit and its network of global integration and technology partners are pushing the boundaries of mobile AIDC (automatic identification and data capture), delivering groundbreaking identification and data capture applications to customers.
