FAQ #1: Does the Scandit SDK also support the iPad2 and the iPod Touch 4?

Providing good support is very important to us. And we’re always happy when we can help one of our customers. Although we receive a broad variety of requests every day, there are some frequently asked questions. Today, we’d like to start addresssing some of them on our blog. Here we go with the first one:

Does the Scandit SDK also support the iPad2 and the iPod Touch 4?

The answer is simple: Yes! And it does so pretty well, despite the fact that neither the iPad2 nor the iPod Touch 4 feature an autofocus camera! But seeing is believing: Since we happend to have an iPad2 handy, we’ve recorded two quick’n dirty videoclips: the first one shows Scandit’s swift barcode scanning performance using the iPad2’s back camera. And the second video, quite a bit cooler actually, shows how Scandit enables barcode scanning using the iPad2’s front camera; pretty useful if you’re using your iPad2 as a cash register… With Scandit, you can add an iPad2-based checkout scanner to the mix in no time!
