Scandit named #61 of the top 100 startups in Switzerland!

We’re excited to announce that Scandit has been selected as one of the top 1o0 startups in Switzerland for the second year in a row!

Every year startup.ch ranks the top 100 startups in Switzerland, offering a platform for Swiss startups to present themselves and get in contact with top investors and experts from the Swiss startup scene.

Scandit was founded in 2009 by entrepreneurs and former researchers at MIT and ETH Zurich (Learn more about our founders). Since 2009, Scandit has expanded to include a global team with presences in San Francisco, Boston and Moscow. We have an incredible team of rock star engineers and super slick business folks, and we’re honored to be recognized for our achievements. We’d like to acknowledge all our supporters who’ve helped us along the way. Without you we would have never made it this far!

2012 has been a wild and exciting year for us. Back in July, we released our free community edition Barcode Scanner SDK and Product API, paving the way for the easy creation of m-commerce and m-payment apps across platforms. Since then we’ve announced several partnerships with companies including shopkick, FoodEssentials and Appcelerator. In addition to being recognized as one of the top 100 startups in Switzerland, we recently won the GMIC G-Startup competition in Silicon Valley! Thank you all so much for helping us along the way!
