This update includes significant improvements to our scanning capabilities and user experience. We recommend that you upgrade soon to take advantage of our increased performance and feature set (see release notes for details). Here are new features that Scandit’s Barcode Scanner SDK version 4.13 has to offer:

iOS SDK Now Supports the Scandit Case

With the release of Scandit Barcode Scanner SDK 4.13 we are adding support for our scanning hardware accessory, the Case for iPhone 6 & 6S. The Case enables the high performance scanning of dedicated devices by leveraging our scanning software and the iPhone’s camera without the need for additional electrical components. It allows users to point their devices at barcodes as they would with a traditional scanner, enabling more ergonomic and more efficient barcode scanning. The new Scan Case API of the SDK controls case specific features such as the LED aimer and trigger button but most importantly we are maximizing the scan performance of the case. Further Improved Glare Compensation Algorithm

Scandit’s glare and shadow compensation capabilities are industry leading. With the release of SDK 4.13, we are launching the next generation glare compensation algorithm, markedly improving our ability to decode barcodes in challenging lighting conditions.

Launching Cordova/Phonegap and Xamarin Support for Windows

As the only SDK to add support for Cordova/Phonegap and Xamarin for Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 (UWP), our Windows offering is nearly complete. By supporting these popular frameworks we help developers of cross platform apps to add enterprise-grade barcode scanning to their Windows apps.
