Appcelerator partners with Scandit to release barcode scanner module for Titanium

We’re excited to announce the release of our Appcelerator barcode scanner module for the Titanium mobile development platform! Titanium developers can access the barcode scanner module and documentation now by logging in or signing up for an account. The module will also be available soon in the Appcelerator Marketplace.

The new Titanium module includes support for UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code39, Code128, ITF, QR and Datamatrix barcodes. Our scan technology captures barcodes from any angle before the camera even focuses, representing the latest in mobile image recognition. With the new module, developers will also be able to support the largest possible number of devices across iOS and Android, including a wide range of low-cost Android devices without autofocus cameras.
