Barcode Yourself: An Interactive Barcode Art Experience

Ever wanted to become a barcode? Well now is your chance. Barcode Artist Scott Blake has developed a nifty web app that converts your personal data into a unique barcode. To calculate your worth, Scott has employed a comic set of measurements based on a user’s gender, weight, height, age and location. Simply click on this link to barcode yourself:

After you have created your barcode, it can be scanned to reveal a worth between one cent and ten dollars. Scott has developed an algorithm that uses the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of your location and your Body Mass Index (BMI) to calculate your worth as a dollar value. It’s a rather absurd (and sometimes offensive) attempt at mocking self-identity. Scott describes Barcode Yourself as laying “out a fresh absurdity in the modern world of consumerism.”
