Case Study: Scan and buy products from Ex Libris on the go with Scandit

Today we’re excited to announce a brand new case study which takes a look at the integration of our Scandit barcode scanner SDK into the Ex Libris mobile application. Exlibris.ch is the largest online store for books, music, games and electronic devices in Switzerland. As the leader in Swiss media sales, Ex Libris has focused on developing a multi-channel distribution strategy through its physical, online, mobile, and phone sales.

To respond to the growing number of consumers who shop through their mobile devices, Ex Libris built an app that allows its users to scan barcodes quickly and easily,  providing price and review information alongside purchasing options.  In using the Scandit barcode scanner SDK, Ex Libris ensured its users had access to convenient product identification through lightning-fast barcode recognition, while also supporting the largest number of devices.  The benefits of using our SDK also included an incredibly easy integration process and reliable support from the Scandit team. The end result was a unique product identification system utilizing superior barcode scanning technology that reduces the time it takes to shop.  For a detailed look at Ex Libris and their use of the Scandit barcode scanner SDK check out the in-depth case study!

We’re excited to add Ex Libris to our growing list of case studies. Look out for our next case study featuring Capigami, the masterminds behind the popular Out of Milk app. Stay tuned!
