Getting Ready for Google IO 2012 – Attendee Tips and Party List

With Google IO 2012 right around the corner we’re getting ready for what we hope will be an exciting week full of technological revelations. We’ve prepared a list of tips for attendees to make the most of the week:
Plan out your sessions
Google’s made it easy for attendees to plot out their session’s right on the event website. Starting with the conference agenda, attendees can discover sessions or code labs they’re interested in attending, and indicate their interest by clicking the + symbol. Once you’re done, you can click on the “My Schedule” link in the upper right to view your selections.
Check in early
Want a great seat for the keynote? Try to get to check in on Tuesday if you want to be ahead of the pack. Check in runs on Tuesday June 26th from 2pm to 8pm on Level 1 of Moscone West. The keynote starts promptly at 9:30am on Wednesday, so get an early start!
Get the mobile app
Google has created a handy mobile app to help conference attendees keep track of their schedule. Android phones only of course J
Check out the parties and community events
Google has created a great community events page which details a bunch of great parties and workshops taking place throughout the week. Granted the party scene isn’t as developed as it is for WWDC, but we’ve found a couple additional parties to spice up your calendar:
#GenMobile Party @ Jillians
The Official Sphero Party after IO @ Temple Nightclub
GMIC SV International Reception @ TBA Location
We’re looking forward to connecting with so you next week in the beautiful city by the bay. Be sure to follow our Twitter feed for live updates from IO. Safe Travels!
