Scandit will demonstrate its latest advances in software-based mobile data capture solutions for smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other leading-edge devices at EHI Technologie Tage 2017. Held Nov. 7-8, 2017 in Dusseldorf, Germany by EHI Retail Institute, the conference is a European global event for retail and IT professionals.

Visitors to Scandit booth #10 will be able to participate in a variety of interactive demos featuring our latest mobile data capture solutions. Notable demonstrations will include:

AR Price Verification and Stock Check
Using augmented reality (AR) scanning, retailers can perform innovative in-aisle tasks such as verifying prices and checking product stock levels. AR images superimposed on mobile scan results can indicate which products need their price corrected and back room inventory levels of items on the shelf. Watch the video below to see AR price verification and stock check in action.

MatrixScan
The new MatrixScan feature of Barcode Scanner SDK enables users to locate, track and decode multiple barcodes at once and adds visual feedback in the user interface to indicate which barcodes have already been scanned. See the demonstration video below and click here to learn more about MatrixScan.

Keyboard Wedge
Keyboard Wedge enables companies in retail and beyond to add enterprise-grade barcode scanning to any application without additional development or integration effort. This alternative app-based solution makes Scandit’s smartphone/tablet camera-based scanning engine available without integration into existing apps, enabling internal applications from software vendors such as SAP, Oracle, JDA, NetSuite and Salesforce to scan on smartphones or tablets. Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
Scandit is offering a new Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality for Barcode Scanner SDK. OCR enables text recognition for your mobile scanning apps. This allows users to capture predefined data from sources such as forms, packages and labels, eliminating the need for manual input and reducing the potential impact of human error. Watch the video below and also click here to learn more about OCR.

Scandit representatives will be available to explain how retail professionals can use traditional mobile devices to lower costs and streamline operations related to core retail use cases such as Clienteling, mPOS, mShopping, Order Entry, Self-Checkout, and Inventory Management. Team members including Christian Schilling, VP of Sales, Central and Eastern Europe, and Ulrich Hieber, Sales Manager, will be waiting to say hello and discuss our solutions in detail.
