Domenic Boeni, Solutions Consultant for Scandit, will give a presentation about how smartphones, tablets and wearables can enable enterprises to transform their logistics operations at Post-Expo 2017. Held Sept. 26-28, 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland, the event highlights best practices in logistics and transportation.

In his presentation, “Becoming a Logistics Leader with Innovative Data Capture Technology for Smartphones, Wearables, and Drones,” scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, Boeni will discuss how Yurtici Kargo, Turkey’s largest express delivery company, benefited from equipping drivers with a smartphone barcode scanning app.

Boeni will also discuss how enterprises are integrating leading-edge data capture solutions running on smartphones, wearables, and drones into their logistics operations to gain competitive differentiation. In addition, Boeni will participate in a panel discussion, “Strategic Challenges and Opportunities Across the Postal and Parcel Sector,” at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

During the event Scandit will demonstrate its industry-leading enterprise mobile data capture solutions. Visitors to Scandit booth #4085 will be able to participate in a variety of interactive demos. Notable demonstrations will include:

The Scandit Case
Scandit Case works with all of Scandit’s mobile scanning solutions, provides protection during everyday activities and offers a scanning experience equivalent to handheld scanners and mobile computers at a fraction of the cost. Learn more about Scandit Case, and also watch the video below.

Our Barcode Scanner SDK
This provides enterprises with the speed and performance necessary to replace dedicated barcode scanners and mobile computers with more flexible and cost-effective mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and wearables. The result: equivalent or improved scanning performance on a smart device at a fraction of the total cost of ownership (TCO) of traditional scanners. Learn more about Scandit Barcode Scanner SDK.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
Scandit is also offering a new Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality for Barcode Scanner SDK. OCR enables text recognition for your mobile scanning apps. This allows users to capture predefined data from sources such as forms, packages and labels, eliminating the need for manual input and reducing the potential impact of human error.

MatrixScan
The new MatrixScan feature of Barcode Scanner SDK enables users to locate, track and decode multiple barcodes at once and adds visual feedback in the user interface to indicate which barcodes have already been scanned.

A rotator that shows off how fast and consistently our barcode scanner reads a code.

Scandit representatives will be available to explain how logistics professionals can use traditional mobile devices to lower costs and streamline operations related to core logistics use cases such as order entry, proof of delivery, shipping & receiving, and asset management.

Team members including Solutions Consultant Dominic Boeni, Christian Schilling, VP of Sales, Central and Eastern Europe, and Paul Davis, VP of Sales, Northern Europe, will be on hand to discuss our innovative enterprise mobile data capture technology in detail. Contact us today to schedule a meeting.
