CEO and Co-Founder
Samuel Mueller is the CEO and a co-founder of Scandit, and is responsible for overall strategic direction, marketing, sales and business development.
Prior to Scandit, Samuel was a management consultant and project leader for multinational companies such as Swiss Airlines, Swiss Re and IBM as well as a corporate researcher at the renowned IBM Zurich Research Lab. While at IBM, Samuel was awarded an IBM Research Division Award and a total of three IBM Invention Achievement Awards. He has authored numerous patent applications and has published his research results in leading conferences and journals.
Samuel holds a PhD from ETH Zurich and graduated summa cum laude with an MSc in Computer Science and an MA in Financial Economics, both from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. As a thought leader in mobile computer vision for business, he is regularly invited to speak at business and industry conferences around the world.
CTO, VP Product and Co-Founder
As CTO and VP Product, Scandit co-founder Christian Floerkemeier is responsible for Scandit’s product strategy and roadmap and is the technical lead behind Scandit’s patented Barcode Scanner technology.
Before founding Scandit, Christian was the Associate Director of the Auto-ID Lab at MIT and a member of the MIT research team that developed the RFID technology which is today in use in major supply chains. Christian also co-founded Fosstrak, the leading open-source RFID software platform that implements the EPC Network specification. He was the technical program chair of the Internet of Things Conference in 2008 and IEEE RFID 2009 and general chair of IEEE RFID 2011.
Christian received a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor and MEng degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
CIO, VP Engineering and Co-Founder
As CIO and VP Engineering, Scandit co-founder Christof Roduner is responsible for the software development activities at Scandit. Christof leads an organization of highly skilled software engineers and researchers that build Scandit’s products and services.
Before founding Scandit, Christof was a researcher at ETH Zurich and MIT, where he worked on Internet of Things-related projects with industry partners such as Deutsche Telekom, Nokia, NTT DoCoMo and SAP. Prior to his career in research, Christof founded a company that built and marketed a CRM system, and later headed the Internet business at a Zurich-based IT company.
Christof also co-founded Fosstrak, the leading open-source RFID software platform that implements the EPC Network specification and is used in RFID projects at Orange/FranceTelecom, SAP, TCS and many others.
Christof studied Computer Science and Business Administration at the University of Zurich and the University of Uppsala. He holds a PhD from ETH Zurich and an MSc from the University of Zurich (both in Computer Science) and has a passion for building great teams and great technical infrastructures.
Uwe is responsible for Finance at Scandit, bringing with him more than 10 years of experience in financial management and strategic development of high-growth technology businesses.
Before joining Scandit, Uwe served as a Managing Director of Fision, a Zurich-based SaaS startup company, where he led the build-up of commercial operations and the company’s market entry. Prior to that Uwe worked as a venture and growth capital investor for different asset management firms. In this role, he invested and managed more than $100m in equity investments across a portfolio of European technology companies, served as a board member and observer, and accompanied various trade sales and IPOs.
Uwe holds a joint masters’ degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Technical University of Darmstadt.
Natasha Sandoval is the Vice President of Marketing at Scandit. Prior to Scandit, Natasha’s 15+ years in the IT industry include senior marketing roles in the global and EMEA organizations at Compaq, HP and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, ranging from product and channel marketing to running global campaigns and leading thought leadership and demand generation programs.
Natasha’s innovative approach to marketing has earned her internal and industry recognition – she is the recipient of HP’s Most Valuable Player award and the British Media Awards finalist in the 2014 Commercial Campaign of the Year category.
Natasha holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Gerlinde is the Vice President of People at Scandit. Prior to Scandit, Gerlinde built an international career in Talent and Human Resources roles in global blue-chip companies such as Compaq, KPMG, American Express and TUI.
Most recently, Gerlinde served as the HR Director for London-based patient capital VC IP Group plc. She has initiated and led global projects and combines strategy and innovation with a strong desire to create things that make a difference to organisations and people’s lives.
Gerlinde holds a MSc in Psychology from the University of Vienna and an MBA from the UK’s Open University.
VP Partnerships and Customer Success
Nitin manages Business Development, Partnerships, Alliances and Customer Success at Scandit. In this capacity, he is responsible for growing and nurturing our customer and partner base and for creating revenue acceleration opportunities from these relationships.
Before joining Scandit, Nitin was the Chief Business Officer at Sticky (now part of the Tobii Group of Companies) where he was responsible for running and growing the core business. Prior to that, Nitin held executive roles in various Silicon Valley technology startups as well as established enterprise tech companies like Cisco and IBM.
Nitin has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Head of Sales Operations
Mark is the head of Sales Operations at Scandit where he is responsible for measurement and processes to help drive sales productivity. Before joining Scandit, Mark was SVP of Revenue Operations at Vonage where he led a Global Sales Operations and Enablement team. Prior to that, Mark held a series of senior sales and business operations roles at software companies including NewVoiceMedia, Syniverse and Cúram Software.
Mark holds a degree in Economics and Social Policy from Royal Holloway University of London.
SVP Global Sales
Jeremy is Senior Vice President for global sales at Scandit where he is responsible for developing the business through direct sales and indirect channels. He previously led Scandit’s sales team across the EMEA region.
Before joining Scandit, Jeremy was SVP International at NewVoiceMedia, a European headquartered global category leader in customer experience, where he led the region through to the acquisition by Vonage in 2018.
Prior to this, Jeremy was an EMEA Regional Sales Director at RightNow Technologies and was instrumental in the region’s growth through to their acquisition by Oracle in 2012. He comes to Scandit with over 20 years experience in high growth subscription based software companies.
VP Sales, EMEA
Nick is responsible for developing the business through direct sales and indirect channels throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He previously led Scandit’s growth in the UK and Middle East as Sales Director.
Prior to joining Scandit, he was most recently Director for the UK and Ireland at the French enterprise marketplace company, Mirakl. In addition to roles at Experian, CACI and Epsilon; Nick has over 20 years experience in software and SaaS sales and was part of the founding leadership team at Virgin Red.
VP Sales, APAC
Paul is Scandit’s Vice President of Sales for the Asia Pacific region and is responsible for developing the business through direct sales and indirect channels. He previously led Scandit’s Northern European sales. Before joining Scandit, Paul was the Managing Director of AccuRev’s international business providing application life-cycle solutions before it’s acquisition by Micro Focus.
Prior to that he was the Managing Director of SpaceCode, a provider of RFID based asset management solutions. He has more than 20 years of international sales, marketing and management experience working for technology and software companies.
VP Global Mid-Market and Inside Sales
Chris is Scandit’s Vice President of Global Mid-Market and Inside Sales and is responsible for developing the business through direct sales and indirect channels to small and medium sized companies. He previously led Scandit’s sales in DACH, Eastern and Southern European regions. Before joining Scandit, Chris was Head of Sales and Business Development at Swiss-based Trueb, a leading provider of physical and electronic identification and payment solutions.
Prior to that, he was Director of Business Development, EMEA at MEI, the leading global manufacturer of unattended payment systems. He also had senior sales and product management roles at NCR, serving the retail industry in Europe and the USA.
