How does the app work?

Healthcare workers just scan the patient ID card, scan the barcode on the specimen test tube and then export this collected data.  No need to pass IDs from patient to professional. The app decreases the risk of contamination and ensures test data is captured quickly, avoiding the risk of human error.  No data is kept within the app on the device or shared with Scandit or any 3rd party.

In scenarios where workers may by administering hundreds, if not thousands of tests in a very short time period, the scalability and reliable scanning performance of the Scandit app will help them complete the testing faster, more accurately, and safer than traditional tools.

To get started, download the app for free from the App Store or Google Play Store – it’s ready to use out-of-the-box. Once downloaded, simply select the Patient Data Capture mode out of 3 modes available. The app is ready to speed up the process of essential data capturing, anywhere on any device.

What the app does:

Scan Test subject’s IDs. This is possible by combining text recognition and barcode scanning capabilities, including for.

  • Scanning Government-issued ID Cards and Passports with Machine Readable Zones (MRZ)
  • Scanning US and Canadian driver’s licenses using the PDF417 barcode on the back of the license.

Scan the corresponding test tube by reading a wide variety of supported barcode symbologies:Code128, EAN13, QR Code, Micro QR Code, and Data Matrix.
Print or export the collected and parsed data instantly

The app doesn’t:

Store or keep any personal information after the scanning process and is therefore HIPPA compliant. All data is processed on a device and scanned data is not shared with Scandit or any 3rd party.
