Samuel Mueller is the CEO and co-founder of Scandit and is responsible for overall strategic direction, marketing, sales and business development.
Prior to Scandit, Samuel was a management consultant and project leader for multinational companies such as Swiss Airlines, Swiss Re and IBM as well as a corporate researcher at the renowned IBM Zurich Research Lab. While at IBM, Samuel was awarded an IBM Research Division Award and a total of three IBM Invention Achievement Awards. He has authored numerous patent applications and has published his research results in leading conferences and journals.
Samuel holds a PhD from ETH Zurich and graduated summa cum laude with an MSc in Computer Science and an MA in Financial Economics, both from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He is regularly invited to speak at high-profile industry conferences such as MobileBeat 2011 in San Francisco or the Mobile Payments Conference 2012 in NYC.
Christian Floerkemeier is the VP Product, CTO and co-founder of Scandit and is responsible for the execution of Scandit’s product strategy and roadmap. He is also the technical lead behind Scandit’s patented Barcode Scanner technology.
Before founding Scandit, Christian was the Associate Director of the Auto-ID Lab at MIT and a member of the MIT research team that developed the RFID technology which is today in use in major supply chains. Christian also co-founded Fosstrak, the leading open-source RFID software platform that implements the EPC Network specification. He was the technical program chair of the Internet of Things Conference in 2008 and IEEE RFID 2009 and general chair of IEEE RFID 2011.
Christian received a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor and MEng degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
Christof Roduner is the VP Engineering, CIO and co-founder of Scandit, responsible for the building and maintenance of Scandit’s product, services and infrastructure and leads all engineering activities.
Before founding Scandit, Christof was a researcher at ETH Zurich and MIT, where he worked on Internet of Things-related projects with industry partners such as Deutsche Telekom, Nokia, NTT DoCoMo and SAP. Prior to his research career, Christof had his own company that built and marketed a CRM software, and he later headed the Internet business at a Zurich-based IT company.
Christof is also a co-founder of Fosstrak, the leading open-source RFID software platform that implements the EPC Network specification and is used in RFID projects at Orange/FranceTelecom, SAP, TCS and many others.
Christof studied computer science and business administration at the University of Zurich and the University of Uppsala and holds an MSc from the University of Zurich, a PhD from ETH Zurich (both in computer science). He has a passion for scalable server infrastructures and web technologies.
Justin is Scandit’s vice president of sales and business development. He is responsible for developing the business through direct sales and indirect channels throughout the Americas. Before joining Scandit, Justin was VP of Sales at Bigcommerce, the leading ecommerce platform for established and emerging brands, where he was responsible for revenue through global direct sales and channel partnerships. Prior to that he was VP of Channels and Vertical Markets at ReachLocal, a global leader in online marketing solutions for local businesses, where he was responsible for direct and indirect revenue across multiple sales channels in North America, Latin America and Europe.
Heidi serves as Scandit’s vice president of marketing. She brings more than 15 years of experience in senior marketing positions for major corporations to her role where she is responsible for Scandit’s marketing function. Previously, Heidi was chief marketing officer for SaaS Markets, a leading business app store provider acquired by Sysnet Global Solutions. Prior to SaaS Markets, she was head of marketing for Live365, Inc., a global Internet and mobile radio company with 6000 stations. Heidi’s background spans marketing, strategic planning, business development, and digital content development and distribution at a variety of companies including Avid Technology and Euphonix.
Paul is Scandit’s director of sales for the Northern Europe and Asia regions and is responsible for developing the business through direct sales and indirect channels. Before joining Scandit, Paul was the managing director of AccuRev’s international business providing application life-cycle solutions before it’s acquisition by Micro Focus. Prior to that he was the managing director of SpaceCode, a provider of RFID based asset management solutions. He has more than 20 years of international sales, marketing and management experience working for technology and software companies.
Emilio serves as Scandit’s director of finance. In this role he is responsible for Scandit’s controlling, finance management and FP&A. Emilio is a senior finance professional with extensive experience working in high-paced and complex business environments. As a passionate senior finance generalist, Emilio has a proven record of FP&A and controlling expertise in regional and multinational companies. He has served as consultant, group controller and finance director at Coopers & Lybrand, NCR and Monster. Prior to Scandit, Emilio worked at eBay for 11 years and held a number of senior finance positions including controlling, finance and risk management, where he contributed successfully to the fast European geographic expansion. Emilio has a BA in Business Administration, a postgraduate in Controlling and he is member of the IMA.
Chris is Scandit’s director of sales for the DACH, Eastern and Southern European regions and is responsible for developing the business through direct sales and indirect channels. Before joining Scandit, Chris was head of sales and business development at Swiss-based Trueb, a leading provider of physical and electronic identification and payment solutions. Prior to that, he was director of business development EMEA at MEI, the leading global manufacturer of unattended payment systems. He also had senior sales and product management roles at NCR, serving the retail industry in Europe and the USA.
Daniel is Scandit’s head of partnerships and is responsible for establishing and managing partnerships with system integrators, application developers and key distribution partners. Prior to joining Scandit, Daniel was head of business development at Huddle, a leader in cloud collaboration and content management for the enterprise and competitor to Box and Dropbox. Before that, Daniel worked at Meltwater Group, a provider of online intelligence solutions delivering big data insights, for several years in roles crossing corporate development, strategy, business development and sales.
